I’m pretty much addicted to a game called foursqWAR. If you don’t know it, it’s a strategy game that is layered on top of foursquare and quite a few of my new colleagues play it. At first, I thought it was a bit rubbish but after having played it for about a week, I have to admit that I’m utterly hooked.

Basically, you hunt down foursquare locations from within the game. Look, I found Wieden+Kennedy.

If the location is vacant you can occupy it. W+K is, however, occupied by an enemy.

If you decide you want the location you attack and deploy units.

YAY battle won, but I lost some troops…

…but the building is mine.

(UPDATE: I have, as of this morning [27.01.2001] lost the battle for W+K.)

It’s simple and fun and when you’ve worked out how it all works it’s very addictive. It can be funny too when you win the battle for “Bills Chippy”.

The app is free and can be found here. We’re setting up a tips and tricks group for those who get stuck or need some just let me know in the comments if you would like to join.
